The Grove Farm Stay is a luxurious, glamping experience, with two self-contained luxury yurts, ‘The Grove’ and ‘Still Waters’, nestled among mature avocado trees on an idyllic coastal property. Situated just 10 minutes drive west of Whakatane township and an easy stroll through the property to the idyllic white sand of Thornton Beach.
The Grove Farm Stay’s central location ensures you are conveniently close to all that the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty has to offer. From crystal clear bush fringed lakes to the rugged and majestic White Island. The area literally has it all!
After returning from your day adventuring, enjoy the sheltered serenity of the grove. Relax in the spa, kick back on the deck and soak in the ambiance of the enchanted forest like setting.
At night you can light up the brazier and/or pizza oven, enjoy a meal cooked outdoors or in the conventional kitchen. But if you feel like a night off cooking then choose from a great selection of local cafes and restaurants.

Kayaking
This region has some unique kayaking experiences. Explore beautiful and sheltered Ohiwa Harbour where you can paddle to deserted islands for a picnic. Or enjoy our favourite kayak to Moutohora Island Sanctuary
(Whale Island). This is a double experience with a Catamaran boat ride out to the Island and then
into your kayaks to explore. You can also do moonlight kayaking in the area.

Dolphin Watching
